Dariusz Jagielski, DVM, PhD
DVM, PhD, medical director
Darek was qualified as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 from Veterinary Faculty of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Since that time he has been working with small animals suffering from cancer. For them he devoted his doctoral dissertation defended in 2001, many lectures for students of veterinary studies and postgraduate students in Warsaw, Olsztyn and Lublin.
He participated as an organizer, lecturer and participant in numerous oncological veterinary meetings in Poland and abroad. Darek is a member of two European cancer groups involved in clinical research in small animals, the Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (as a chairman of the Oncological Section), the Polish Society of Clinical Oncology and the European Society of Veterinary Oncology. He provides lectures in small animal oncology for final year students of the Veterinary Faculty at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
He founded in 2010 Veterinary Clinic Bialobrzeska in Warsaw and in 2020 RTWet Polish Veterinary Radiotherapy Center in Miedniewice close to Warsaw.
Privately, Darek is the husband of Marta (of course a veterinarian), the father of two daughters – Julia and Maria (not veterinarians yet), the guardian of two very non-purebred dogs – Rozia and Mały and three very European cats – Tuesday, Łapek and Karolina. When he’s not at work he thinks about her. Sometimes he wanders with his Girls around the smallest towns in Poland, Europe and beyond trying to learn about their history.
